Why should you join the ALIDP?

ALIDP members support a unique, province-wide initiative that is strengthened through collaboration with counterpart organizations across Canada. You will join a diverse membership from various disciplines such as research, engineering, land use planning, watershed stewardship, land development, environmental design, policy development, approvals and regulations, and habitat conservation outreach. You will connect with other professionals and volunteers passionate about advancing stormwater management strategies in Alberta. Becoming a member ensures that your perspective can be shared in this grassroots initiative.

NOTE: Only one membership per organization is required for all staff to receive full benefits, which can result in significant savings at ALIDP events (one member municipality saved $1,550 when several staff attended a recent event).

Membership to Meet All Needs

The Partnership is a consortium of municipal, provincial and federal governments, NGOs, private companies, and individuals.  As the ALIDP was formed, stakeholders recommended that a variety of membership levels would reflect the diversity in financial means and needs to access LID tools and resources, such as the Water Balance Model powered by QUALHYMO.  In keeping with these recommendations, the ALIDP offers the following membership levels:
